We live in Slovakia is a cultural and social festival that celebrates the diversity of communities living in Slovakia and promotes mutual understanding, respect and dialogue. The event is organized by the civic association Spoločná cesta – Forum for Dialogue on the occasion of the International Day of Human Fraternity, which the UN proclaims annually on February 4th.

The idea of this day is to remind people that differences in cultures, religions and traditions should not be a source of fear or conflict, but on the contrary – they represent a wealth that enriches our society. The We Live in Slovakia festival creates a safe and open space where individual communities can introduce themselves, share their stories and show how diversity can work in harmony.

The event will showcase the cultural communities living in Slovakia through presentations, traditional objects, food tastings, and personal encounters. Each country will have its own space, allowing visitors to get to know its cultural specifics up close.

The goal of the festival is to strengthen the sense of belonging and emphasize that in Slovakia we live together - different, but united.

Free admission.

The partner of the event is the Bratislava Cultural and Information Center.
