On walks A date with the city, which are part of the accompanying festival program Roman Games We will delve into the times of the powerful Roman Empire on its northern border and right at the site where one of its military camps was located.

Kastel Gerulata had several reconstructions over the course of four centuries. The archaeologist of the Bratislava City Museum, Mgr. Ľudovít Mathédesz, will tell you about the camp of the 1st and 3rd construction stages, its borders, location and area. The camp was surrounded by a civilian settlement and production facilities were built on the edges of the inhabited area for security reasons. Agricultural estates were located in the wider hinterland. Do you know how many burial grounds were used in Gerulata and where they were located? You can learn more details on an archaeological walk.
