Discussion on Biela: Mental health in schools: why teaching about relationships should be part of the school curriculum

The discussion will focus on the importance of psychological support and relationship and sex education in schools. and their impact on the lives of children and young people. Attention will also be paid to the experience of a generation that did not often encounter these topics in the school environment, and the question of how their absence can affect a person not only in childhood and adolescence, but also later in adulthood.

The main questions of the discussion will be what significance accessible psychological help and relationship and sexual education can have for human development, what today's children need in the field of education and how it is possible to talk openly and sensitively about sexuality and sexual relationships in society. The discussion will also address the importance of mental health care in the school environment and the reasons why its support should be a natural part of education.

These topics will be discussed school psychologist Katarína Francová and relationship and sex education educator Rada Komžíková. Moderated by Klára Hulíková.
