Summer cinema: THE BLIND

Weranda | according to sunset – approximately 21:30 PM | dir. G. Pálfi, HU, 2025, Czech subtitles, MP-15, violence, 96 min.

The film follows the adventurous story of a hen who desperately wants to start a family, while a terrible human tragedy unfolds in the background.

Told entirely from the perspective of its avian heroine, the film follows the fate of a hen who escapes factory farming and finds herself in a dilapidated seaside restaurant in Greece. She gradually finds her place and safety in an unfamiliar environment. In an effort to protect her eggs, she unexpectedly becomes a silent witness to complex human stories, while a world marked by greed, smuggling and the consequences of the migration crisis unfolds around her.
