Freedom Festival – Opening of the European GULAG exhibition
At least 800 camps operated in the territory of today's European Union and its closest neighbors for more than a decade. Almost 1,500,000 people were imprisoned and forced to work there, of whom 130,000 died. These camps formed a real "European GULAG". And it is their story that is commemorated by a panel exhibition produced by the Platform of European Memory and Conscience and the Museum of Memory of the 20th Century, in the Slovak premiere and translation by the Institute of Memory of the Nation.
The exhibition of 30 panels with lots of photographs, data, tables, but also stories will be open daily from 8:00 AM to 19:00 PM until November 17, 2025.
After the official opening, we invite you for a glass of wine.
The exhibition will be open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. until November 17, 2025.
Free admission.
