The year is 1913, and Englishwoman Emily Davison throws herself under a galloping horse at a racecourse in Epsom in the name of the fight for women's suffrage.

The original play by director Michal Belej is loosely inspired by the life and death of the most radical figure in the women's feminist movement in the United Kingdom and explores the behavior of an oppressed individual in a rigid society. The production, in the form of a pop mosaic, searches for the boundaries between activism and terrorism, masculinity and femininity, victim and manipulator. The incident occurred more than a hundred years ago, but Emily's story offers themes closely related to the stereotypical division of the world that still resonate today. The creators naturally ask themselves: where have we moved in that time?

"One great tragedy can prevent many others."
