A Date with the City: Stories from the Prešov Ghetto

A Date with the City: Stories from the Prešov Ghetto

The Jewish community has almost always belonged to the old Prešpork. The shops where you could buy everything from a broken propeller to rare books have been replaced by a neon-lit four-lane highway. Old stories remain, reminiscent of memorial plaques or brass stones of the disappeared – Stolpersteine. In places where gentlemen in black caftans once walked, you will also learn why Jews had two kitchens, where the best fighter in the world was born, and why Bratislava was nicknamed the “Jerusalem of the East”.
The walk is suitable for families with children aged 5-13.

Accompanied by: Margita Petríková

Deadline: October 1, 2023

The walking route is barrier-free (suitable for strollers).
