House of Music is located in part of the historic Georgievits Palace - a representative building from the 19th century with elements of the neo-baroque style.
Today offers a cultivated space for artistic and community eventswhich connect music, art and the atmosphere of a historical environment.

During the summer, he also participates in artistic events. courtyard, which comes alive with concerts and performances under the open sky. Bratislava musical groups can also apply for use of testing facilities.
The House of Music has preserved the original architecture of the historic Georgievits Palace and a number of carefully restored details:
- foyer and staircase – original sandstone, marble checkerboard tiles, wooden doors
- plastering – original, restored
- three concert halls:
- Olga Trebitsch Concert Hall – oriented towards the street, named after the singer Olga Trebitschová
- Fric Kafendu Concert Hall – facing the courtyard, with a carved wooden ceiling
- Concert Hall of the House of Music – new, modern hall with glass roof, floor and acoustic cladding
History of the place
The palace was built after 1890 Field Marshal Georg Georgievits de Apadia as his townhouse. The project was developed by Ignac Fiegler Jr. designed by a Viennese architect. The palace with a terraced garden, which once reached as far as the Palisades, was among the most magnificent in Bratislava.
In 1912, it was bought by the family Trebitsch familyFinancier Dionysius Trebitsch He lived here with his wife Olga, a famous opera singer. In her memory, he had a marble statue created around 1921. Cantus fountain statue from the sculptor Alojz Rigele.
Later, the palace housed various institutions - the Masonic association Philanthropy, the Rescue for the Protection of Women and Girls association, the local association of the Czechoslovak Red Cross, the Abstinence Association, and the State Social Welfare Instructors' Office in Slovakia.
It has been located here since the early 90s the oldest elementary art school in Slovakia – Miloš Ruppeldt Elementary School, founded in 1919.
After extensive renovation in 2024, the palace became a modern cultural background for music and art events.
The House of Music, managed by Bratislava Cultural and Information Center (BKIS), offers space for concerts, workshops, lectures and smaller chamber formats that continue its historical musical tradition.

What you need to know
- The seminar room and libresso and gallery on the ground floor are wheelchair accessible, access via a ramp from the courtyard

- Since the space is located in a residential area, it is necessary to maintain peace and respect the night's peace from 22:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Parking in the courtyard is not possible, only short-term stops are allowed for unloading or loading materials.
- Parking around the House of Music is possible on Panenská Street and adjacent streets within the PAAS system.
- Wi-Fi is not available in the property.
- Smoking is prohibited throughout the building (including the courtyard).
- Dogs are not allowed in the building (including the courtyard).
- No food or drinks are allowed in the concert hall, except for pure water.
