The city of Bratislava continues its long-standing tradition of presenting and tasting young wine every year, following on from the St. Martin's Day celebrations that were organized in the past. The holiday of St. Martin has been associated with winemaking tradition since the times of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
On November 11, the first wines of this year's harvest will be opened not only in our country, but also in neighboring Czech Republic and Austria.
According to an old tradition, the young wines will be blessed on the first day of the festival by the Archbishop of Bratislava in the Chapel of St. Ladislav in the Primate's Palace.
The festival features young wines from winemakers from Bratislava wine associations and other Bratislava wineries.
At the Young Wine Festival, you can look forward to wine markets, gastronomic specialties and a rich program, quizzes and competitions on the topic of winemaking, talks about viticulture, concerts. Every year, the festival also includes the popular Date with the City.
