Workshops on Biela: Bricoleur workshop

Bricoleur means handyman – someone who can put together, fix or create almost anything from whatever they have on hand. This workshop offers the opportunity to become a bricoleur for a day.

New furniture will be created from materials and objects that have already reached the end of their useful life in the city. Not perfect, but authentic – created with a DIY approach. The workshop is built on experimentation, manual work, improvisation and the search for new connections. The method becomes aesthetics. The materials are connected using straps, clamps and escape routes so that they can be disassembled again and put back into circulation.

The result of the joint work will be the furnishing of the courtyard at Biela 6 with furniture that gives waste a second chance through bricolage of materials.

This is not an architectural workshop. It is intended for anyone who is interested in this way of creating – regardless of previous experience. It is not necessary to know how to work with a hammer, tape measure or drill. What is important is the desire to create, discover and try new methods.

In this space, titles don't matter.

The only requirement is to bring one piece of trash that somehow describes its owner.
