A date with the city for families with children: Bratislava's towers and turrets

27 February 2022, Sunday, 10:00

While wandering around the city, we come across dozens of towers. The tallest one is almost 200 meters high. It rises in the Little Carpathians above Bratislava and thanks to its height
and its location mainly serves as a transmission tower. It is not for nothing that it was called the Television Tower. One of the oldest towers is already eight hundred years old and is a popular place for wedding photography. The youngest is only a few decades old.
Some require climbing long stairs, while others can be reached easily by elevator. Many of them form a panorama of the city and serve as reference points for orientation in the city. They differ from each other in architecture and use.
Some are associated with legends and others have become symbols of statehood. On the tour we will come across real and fake towers. Nowadays, the towers no longer fulfill their original defensive function, but only a decorative one. Join us and come and explore Bratislava's towers and turrets with a guide. Martin Zánim.
