Date with the City: Strangers from the East

A date with the city for families with children: Strangers from the East

The first Jews came to the territory of our city together with the Romans. They stayed here for a while, but did not settle here. Written records of the permanent settlement of Jews in Bratislava date back to the 13th century. They concentrated in two places in the medieval city. They created two Jewish quarters, which, together with the entire city, were protected by the city walls. Later, they were expelled from the city. How did it end and what is the situation with this community today? You will find out if you come with your children to the City Date!
