A date with the city: Danube Embankment III. – from the museum through Štúrovo Square
October 21, 2022, Wednesday, 4:00 PM
with guide Štefan Kmeť
The walk will reveal another part of the embankment on the Bratislava side. We will learn about significant works and events in this part of the Old Town, but also the lives and destinies of the people whose names the local streets, squares and palaces are proud of. So from the Fajnor family at least to the "zero meridian" of Samuel Mikovíni and the surrounding area. Do you know where the name Hviezdoslav came from, or where the several-kilometer linden alley behind the Danube led? And we will certainly deepen our knowledge about the Danube and the buildings related to it a little more.
In case of unfavorable autumn weather, the hiking route will use leeward and dry areas.
The walking route IS BARRIER-FREE.
