Dagmar Gubová
Lecturer
The Bratislava native studied tourism at the secondary school SD Jednota in Šamorín, and also completed a course in double-entry bookkeeping (1992). She worked at the ČEDOK travel agency (1989–92), later at the SHMÚ (1996–2001), and as a liquidation manager and methodologist in the insurance industry (2001–13). As a local guide (since 2008), she is a co-founder and member of the Bratislava Tourist Board (since 2012) and the Bratislava Guides Association (since 2014; also chairwoman until 2021), as well as a manager of her own travel agency (since 2019).
In addition to domestic tours (especially for German-speaking clientele), she organizes many trips abroad (Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Germany) in cooperation with travel agencies. Promoting Bratislava is her passion, specializing in tours of the Primate's Palace and churches.
She became a lecturer for the Tourism Guide course in 2020, and she uses her rich practical experience in the field of tourism theory and also deals with church history.
In addition to guiding, she has participated in the translation of books from German and Czech, and enjoys gastronomy, including trying out "forgotten" recipes.
