Andrea Turanska

Lecturer

Although she spent her childhood in Pezinok, she has been connected to Bratislava since high school. She completed her university studies at the Faculty of Business of the University of Economics in Bratislava, where she graduated in 2004 with a specialization in Tourism.

After her studies, she worked for 9 years in an international publishing house focused on education, spending three years at the headquarters in Germany. Education remained her base for a few more years after her return, but it was her stay abroad that led her to the idea of becoming a tourist guide and passing on her love for Slovakia.

In 2015, she completed the Tourist Guide course at the University of Economics in Bratislava. However, she wanted to focus her guiding career on Bratislava, so she decided to supplement her education with a guiding course organized by BKIS. She completed it in 2016 and has been dedicating herself to this work full-time ever since.

She became a lecturer for the Travel Guide course in 2024 and her favorite places are Devín and Sandberg. The course also covers the topic of cemeteries, the Primate's Palace, and the architecture of Slovakia.
