Let's remember: The story of Vrba and Wetzler

On April 7, as part of a discussion at the House of Music, we brought closer the chilling connections between the Holocaust, deportations from Bratislava, and the incredible story of the escape that two Slovak prisoners – Rudolf Vrb and Alfréd Wetzler – managed to make on April 7, 1944.

Their testimony, known as the Vrba-Wetzler Report, remains one of the most crucial documents that broke the silence about the operation of the extermination camps and the systematic murder of the Jewish population.
