WATER AND FIRE to the music of Marián Varga
The second year of the event dedicated to the legacy of one of the most prominent figures in Slovak music took place on August 9, 2026 at Náměstí slobody. The Družba Fountain lit up with light, water and fire to the rhythm of the music of Marián Varga.
The event on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of Marián Varga's death combined a discussion, a concert and a unique fire and water show. The program opened with the discussion The World of Marián Varga (moderated by Pavol Hubinák), followed by the Collegium Musicum concert performed by Fer Griglák, Vladimír Šarišský, Fedor Freš and Martin Valihora - musicians who collaborated with Marián Varga for many years.
The evening culminated with two special fire shows in the Družba fountain synchronized with his music. We commemorated the exceptional artistic legacy of a musician whose work is inextricably linked to Bratislava.
