The largest multi-genre city festival Bratislava Cultural Summer is synonymous with quality open-air culture. It will be lively in the city center during July and August; concerts, summer cinemas, neighborhood meetings and exhibitions will fill the summer days in city districts and city organizations. Strong connections with non-established culture and local communities through Support Programme The dance workshops Dance by the Fountain, Petržalský hudobný stre(e)t, POP-UP FACESXFREAK and many anticipated projects will return to the city. 

The festival will run from July 1 to August 30, 2026, but the first taste of the program will be offered by events starting on June 18.

A celebration of joy and laughter

At the beginning of the festival, visitors can look forward to a day-long event Humor Day from the series ContextsThe invitation to the event was accepted by artists, theater professionals, colleagues and friends of these prominent artists. 

Program for all ages

Historical corners in summer clothes

House of Music welcomes visitors to the historic courtyard. It is filled with concerts with unusual musical guests every Tuesday, and on Wednesdays it turns into an open-air cinema.

Popular events will allow you to explore the city walls and surroundings from a festival perspective. Evenings on the walls.

Cultural and creative space at Bielá 6 will be transformed into a Green Oasis, and the courtyard and upstairs spaces will offer programs primarily for young people. 

Film classics will be screened on selected evenings during the summer months again at the Michurin Amphitheater.

Finale at the fountain

The farewell to summer is being prepared by BKIS in cooperation with partners for the last weekend of August. The finale by the fountain, with several thousand visitors, is coming to Freedom Square for the 4th time. The program will start on Friday, August 28th with a concert Demovnice Rádia_FM and bands and DJs, which appeared in the show. The opportunity for an unconventional theatrical experience will be offered on Saturday, August 29th. Ján Palárik Theatre in Trnava with the performance Filip. The final farewell to summer will be a ceremonial Slovak Philharmonic concert on Sunday, August 30th.
