Bratislava Cultural Summer 2026

The largest multi-genre city festival Bratislava Cultural Summer is synonymous with quality open-air culture. In 2026, the summer days during July and August were also filled with concerts, summer cinemas, neighborhood meetings, exhibitions and other cultural and sports events not only in the center of Bratislava but also in city districts and city organizations. Eight city districts and 8 city organizations participated in BKL 2026. Strong connection with non-established culture and local communities through Support Programme returned to the city the dance workshops Tanec pri fotáne, Petržalský hudobný stre(e)t, POP-UP FACESXFREAK and many other anticipated projects. Together with its partners, BKIS brought almost 300 events during the summer.

Program for all ages

Children were delighted by another year of the cycle of theater performances for the youngest known as Sunday lunch na The cultural scene in the Janko Kráľ Park.

House of Music welcomed visitors to the historic courtyard. Tuesdays were filled with concerts with unusual musical guests, and on Wednesdays the courtyard of the House of Music was transformed into an open-air cinema.

As part of the film evenings, the Mičurin Amphitheater offered works by one of the most prominent Slovak directors, Martin Šulík, and the family film When Life Tastes Good.

It has become part of BKL for the second time Pool Party, this year at the Rosnička swimming pool. It brought a program for all age categories - from relaxation by the pool, through sports and creative activities to an evening music program with DJs and live performances.

The farewell to summer was prepared by BKIS in cooperation with partners for the last weekend of August. Finale at the fountain with several thousand visitors came to Freedom Square for the 4th time.
