The 49th year of the popular summer festival once again brought a diverse range of cultural programs throughout Bratislava. 17 city districts, several city organizations and, thanks to the OPEN CALL BKIS system, dozens of organizers participated in the festival.
The festival kicked off with a one-day event Night of music, which has its roots in France (Fête de la musique). In one evening you could discover unknown musical names and experience genre-diverse musical performances in interesting places. The street happening combines all types of music without a hierarchy of genre and takes place on the same date in more than 120 countries around the world.
During the 73 festival days, it brought Bratislava Cultural Summer 2024 a varied program for all age categories, consisting of theater performances, multi-genre concerts, theater performances, summer screenings, discussions, exhibitions, readings, guided tours, and programs for children.
In addition to cultural events and summer holiday entertainment, we also created a green oasis in the city center at Biela 6. Festival visitors could relax in the pleasant environment of the courtyard of the townhouse and sit on the street furniture surrounded by plants. Sit down!, play chess and enjoy coffee or lemonade.
