Our city also experienced that fairytale period when the impossible became possible.
When the roofs suddenly started to undulate, the houses were decorated with colored stones, various magical creatures guarded the gates, and roses and palm trees grew around the windows. The builders outdid themselves and extraordinary buildings like those from a fairy tale were created here, which we call Art Nouveau. They were built in the part of the city near the Old Bridge, and at its heart stands the Blue Church. Our walk will lead us to it so that we can uncover the story of Saint Elizabeth, but also the secret of why it is blue. We will walk six streets and in total it will be one kilometer of lentils with whipped cream.
