Bratislava Christmas is an integral part of the pre-Christmas and Christmas atmosphere in Bratislava. It begins 4 weeks before Christmas with a festive by lighting the Christmas tree on the Main Square and the opening The main Christmas market.
Part of Bratislava Christmas is rich cultural program situated on Franciscan Square, but thanks to the involvement of city districts and in other places in Bratislava. An inseparable part of Bratislava Christmas has become Christmas forest on Primatial Square, which children from elementary and art schools decorate with handmade decorations.
When designing Bratislava Christmas, we also think about people with disabilities, whether by interpreting selected events into Slovak sign language or artistic interpretation, describing the accessibility of events for blind and visually impaired visitors, or by creating Friendly zone (from 2023).
During the pre-Christmas period, we are working in cooperation with our partners charity projects and collections, designed to help homeless people and other socially disadvantaged groups.
