A date with the city: Bratislava's Franciscans and their tower

3. 9. 2022, Saturday, 16:00 PM
with guide Andrea Turanska

The oldest church in the historic center of Bratislava is the Church of the Annunciation (Franciscan church). It remembers the raids of the troops of Přemysl Otak II, the Jakubov family of mayors, the election of the king after the Battle of Mohács, the passing of the Knights of the Golden Spur during coronations, and much more. A tour of it will take you through the history of Bratislava and the order itself in our city.
In addition, it is the only church in the center of Bratislava from whose tower we can look out over the city together.

ATTENTION: The tour includes climbing the tower. This tour costs 2 EUR per person (entrance fee to the tower).

The tour is NOT BARRIER-ACCESSIBLE, the route includes stairs.
Most of the interpretation will take place in the main nave. If someone has limited mobility but wants to participate, they can, but they will not be able to get to the tower, or to other areas that will only be accessible with a barrier. !!Ascent to the tower is at your own risk!!
