A date with the city: Železná studnička on bicycles

Today, you can do it in a few minutes by bus or car, but in the past, you had to reserve a whole day for a trip to Železná studnička. For city children, the forests around it were often the first wilderness they had ever seen. We invite you to this urban wilderness to take your two-wheeled steeds out and learn the stories of the nine mills that gave the name to Mlynská dolina. We will tell you something about the dark past and bright future of Patrónka. Together, we will find out where earthenware was once made and what it actually is. We will show you the only preserved part of the pillar of the old Červený most, as well as the place where the popular wooden baths used to stand. Finally, we may be able to cool off in the historic ice house – and who knows, maybe there will be a surprise waiting for us there?
For families with children on bicycles from 5 to 15 years old.
In the event of inclement weather, the walk will be postponed to an alternative date, of which registered participants will be informed in good time by email and text message.
Guide: Margita Petríková
Deadline: 21. 5. 2023
The walking route is BARRIER-FREE.
