21. 5. 2022, Saturday, 14:00 PM
with guide Andrea Turanska
Zámočnícka Street is one of the oldest and most romantic in our city. Since the Middle Ages, it has gone through various stages of development, and is associated with many stories and personalities. From the perspective of the history of our city, one of the most significant personalities of this street is clearly František Rómer, who was born here in 1815. His birthplace is managed by the non-profit organization National Trust, which will allow us to peek behind its gate during the tour. You have certainly heard that they were raising funds to save the beautiful wooden ceiling from the 18th century. If you did not have time to support it, you will have the opportunity during this tour. The restoration itself is planned for the end of 2022, so we will still see the ceiling in the exploration phase.
