Thanks to its location at the crossroads of important trade routes, Bratislava was destined to become a major center of trade and market activity from ancient times. Markets were not only a source of wealth for the city, but also a place where different nationalities and cultures met and mixed. Together, we will learn where and what markets were held in the city over the centuries, what was sold there, and why they were and still are so popular with residents.
