Passports and visas

By entering the Slovak Republic, visitors are required to show a valid passport, which must remain valid for the duration of your stay in Slovakia and an additional 2 months after expiration of the visa, if one is required. The above applies to everyone except citizens of the European Union and Switzerland, who will be admitted also by producing a valid national ID card.

Information about visas for visitors from non-EU countries should be obtained from the Slovak embassy accredited to the visitor's home country.
