Since March 21 2006 the tourists and visitors of Bratislava have had a new, unique opportunity to use the elaborate system of discounts under the title – Bratislava City Card (BCC).

Every holder of the card is entitled to use the services of the contracting partners - discount providers - which will be introduced in the trilingual (EN, DE, SK) guide released in concurrence with the card.

To the most significant discount providers belong: Dopravný podnik a.s. Bratislava (Bratislava City Transport Company) , Bratislavské kultúrne a informačné stredisko (Bratislava Culture and Information Centre), Galéria mesta Bratislavy (Bratislava City Gallery), MMB (Múzeum mesta Bratislavy - Bratislava City Museum), Slovenská národná galéria (Slovak National Gallery), Slovenské národné múzeum (Slovak National Museum), Zoologická záhrada (Bratislava Zoo), STaRZ (Správa telovýchovných a rekreačných zariadení - Administration of Physical Educational and Recreational Facilities of the Capital City of Bratislava), SPaP (Slovenská plavba a prístavy - Slovak Passenger Shipping and Ports), ÚĽUV (Ústredie ľudovej umeleckej výroby - The UĽUV centre for folk art production) and others.

The discount amount ranges from 5 to 100 %. After the purchase, the city card holders will be entitled to the city public transport free of charge, as well as  to a free one-hour walking tour of the city in English, German and Slovak languages, organised by the Bratislava Culture and Information Centre (BKIS).
 
The Bratislava City Card comprises discounts in 42 facilities and services at present. The offer of the card is thematically divided into the sightseeing tours, galleries, museums, transport (public transport, passenger shipping, car rental), restaurants and cafés , shopping, leisure time (adrenaline activities, ice-hockey stadiums, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, ZOO, casino, night club) and trips to the neighbouring Austria.

ATTENTION: The Red Stone Castle does not accept 10% discount on admission fee for Bratislava City Card holders since 2012 (p. 41.). The Prešporáčik ticket prices have risen from 4 € and 8 € to 5 € and 10 € (p. 6). The Apponyi Palace is temporarily closed due to technical reasons.

Every visitor can purchase the card in the BKIS tourist information centres, at the hotel receptions and other tourism facilities.
