SAINTS CYRIL AND METHODIUS

Project Cyril and Methodius – Slovak oratory binds up to the celebrations of Cyril and Methodius.
Project is an original production of renowned authors Ľubomír Horňák (music) and Daniel Hevier (lyrics and libreto) directed by Martin Kákoš. Starring: Symphonic Orchestra of Slovak Philharmonic, Bratislava Boys Choirs, stars of operatic and rock scene. Event is set for general public and entrance is free of charge.
Original Slovak oratory is inspired by Biblical texts included in the legendary work of Constantine the Philosopher – PROGLAS and from Old Slavic text „The Life of Constantine Cyril and the Life of Methodius. “
Philosophical message of the texts is strengthened by performance of symphonic orchestra and choir. Fusion of classical and rock music as well as the fusion of operatic and rock vocals is a fusion of two worlds – Christian and pagan.
Project will be recorded, broadcasted and archived in cooperation with Slovak Radio and Slovak Television.
