Pavel Dobeš – singer, composer and text writer. He began in 60’s with Big Bbeat bands in Ostrava. Later he focused on country and folk (B-komplex, later Minimum). Well-known are his hits: Jarmila, Blažek, Hrušky, Krtci. In 80’s he raised „ridiculous“ Ostrava accent to a fashionable wave. He is one of the few folk singers whose songs from pre-revolutionary periods kept its topicality till current days. His songs are bringing statements about the system and totality which does not disappear from society after the revolution– it just transforms. Original musician likes to communicate with audience, likes to tell funny stories to particular songs. Václav Havel, who heard his songs for the first time in 1983 shortly after his release from prison, took a fancy to him some time before he got known in the folk scene. He worked in theatre Semafor, cooperated with Jarek Nohavica or Pepa Streichl, he is author of hundreds of songs and released 12 albums – Skupinové foto (1988), Zátiší s červy (1990), Zpátky do trenek (1992), Live (1993),Něco o Americe (1995), Průzkumný let (1997), Komplet (1999), K svátku (2001), ZUM ZUM ZUM (2002), Banány (2006) ), 2008 3-CD Platinum Collection.
